For anyone affected by suicide, whether you’ve contemplated it, attempted it or been bereaved by it, this is your safe space, your platform, to recount your experiences and tell us how you feel. You will be in the company of people who are, or have, been in your situation and for 2 hours, stigma is eradicated and you are free to say what you wish.
You may be a mental health professional, in which case we’d be delighted to hear your input too. Students, too, are particularly welcome as we need to know how the expectations and pressures of student life affect you and how you overcome them.
Or you may simply have an interest in mental health generally, or suicide in particular.
It’s important to remember, not everyone with suicidal thoughts has current or historical mental health issues. For some, the purpose of living is not apparent and they choose to die rather than live. For others, a traumatic event can make life seem pointless.
There is much to discuss and we welcome attendance from everyone.
We look forward to meeting you.
