An unusually early start for Michael and myself this morning as we were speaking about our initiative, SOS Silence of Suicide at the Stratford Business Forum, held at the Holiday Inn, Stratford Upon Avon.
Sadly, I take at least 3 hours to wake up and simply could not face the amazing breakfast served prior to speaking – needless to say, when it was time to leave and breakfast was finished, I was ready to eat!
SOS/TKPG were Charity of the Day and Michael and I spoke at length about the inception of SOS, our aims for the future and the responsibility employers and schools have in relation to mental wellbeing.
There was a huge turnout, many of whom shared information with us at the end of the meeting and we were presented with a collection of £142.70 at the end of the morning – a welcome and unexpected surprise.
It really is impossible to list everyone we spoke to, everyone who attended today, much as I’d like to. But on behalf of Michael and myself, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to everyone we spoke to for their support, offer of assistance and also their responses to our comments.
We look forward to meeting you all again in the future.
Yvette & Michael
